Those of you who knew me in my younger days will know all about the mimis.  I had a little stuffed dinosaur that I named Mimi and it was my favorite toy I ever had.
A few days ago when I went to visit my family my sister snuck one of the mimis in my camera bag without me noticing.  It cracked me up when I got home and found it there.  My sister is so silly!
I'm proud to say that I did absolutely no post-processing (aka color, light, or whatever else altering) with this photo (except converting from RAW to JPEG... oh, and I rotated it :P)  I just used an extra bright flash to make the colors pop.  Not that most of you care about the details behind the image.  Although I've heard that some photographers do post the shot data with their photo a day pictures...
Anyways.

I finally got one portion of our house to a point that I feel it's worthy of being looked at.  Kind of.  The couch is interesting... but newlyweds can't say no to free furniture.  But I did finally get my paintings hung up.  I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out.

My husband had a surprise for me when I got up this morning.  He had bought me a beautiful bouquet of stargazer lilies!  It smells like our wedding day :)  He gets major points for this one.  What girl doesn't love getting flowers?

We went to Costa Vida today!  Yum!  Their cheese enchiladas are my favorite food EVER!  Seriously, they're so amazing.

I was getting really frustrated today.  I had all of this stuff stressing me out and not working out for me, and on top of that I couldn't get a good picture.  My hubby came home and let me cry a bit and talk it out, and then he encouraged me to look at some other photo a day blogs and see how they improved from their first pictures.  It let me get my head together and go find something to photograph.  I got out my mom's tripod (yeah, I don't have one.  Super lame of me I know.  My birthday is coming up soon... *wink*wink*) and got the idea to take a picture of the 'pretty blue lights.'  I love my husband, I don't know what I'd do without him.  Probably be a wreck.  <3

Ok, I don't know if this really counts, but I wanted to take a picture of it because it's so darn cute.  My family gave us this card for our wedding, and it is the cutest and most perfect card I've ever seen.  And the fishes even have spots. ^_^  I. LOVE. IT.
